Dr. Sylvain Weinberger, Premier Pediatrics Pediatrician

Dear Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to bid a fond “Farewell.” It has been 37 years since Premier Pediatrics first opened and 53 years since starting Medical School. At 76, and as I am in fairly good health, I feel the time has come to devote myself to adventures that I’ve long put off.

I’ve had a wonderful time in my career getting to know thousands of children and their families, and I take pride in whatever small way my endeavors have helped (I estimate I’ve seen 8–10,000 newborns in my career). I will sorely miss the children and people in my current life. All good (or bad) things do come to an end.

I thank all the parents who have entrusted me with their most precious children. It has been a real honor.

Obviously, no endeavor of this import can ever be done on one’s own. I have a great team to support. I believe our MDs represent the best that Pediatrics can offer, and I’m sure they will carry on to give continued excellent care. The RNs that I rely on have been great. The medical assistants, front desk people, and others behind the scenes have been the backbone of the practice. Of course, without the sometimes super efforts of our manager, Caresa Osborn, who joined me 20 years ago, the office could not function as well.

I will be leaving on December 31, 2023. I hope I’ll be able to see as many of you as possible prior.

Sincerest thanks,

Sylvain Weinberger, MD
