Every July, we choose a new theme that highlights an important issue for children and their families. This year, our focus is My Child, My City.
Raising kids in New York City comes with unique challenges and opportunities. From navigating busy streets to finding community in your neighborhood, there’s a lot to balance. Our goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and connected as their children grow.
Throughout the year, we’ll share helpful tips and local insights to guide you through everyday life in NYC—from health and safety to school, play, and the many resources available close to home.

Starting July 2026, our theme will be Plugged In. This new series will explore how to create a healthy relationship with screens in a digital world, offering strategies that support children and teens as they grow.
